Team Volunteer Responsibilities

Impact highly values all of our parent volunteers. Each team should ensure that the following responsibilities are discussed and allocated.
Team Manager
- Communicates with coach, families, and coordinators
- Responsible for registering the team with the Utah Youth Soccer Association (after tryouts), including obtaining players passes; registering the team for tournaments, including obtaining permission from the state for out-of-state travel
- Communicates with parents via phone e-mails when appropriate (sets up phone tree, if desired). Assists with treasurer duties. Arranges team meetings, keeps team roster binder up-to-date including UYSA official roster, copies of birth certificates, copy of UYSA players registration, medical release forms and player contact information, etc. Prepares and distributes game schedule.
- Impact recommends the Team Manager responsibilities are covered by a single individual. Although this is a big job, having one responsible individual will make communication more smooth and efficient.
Treasurer
- Collects fees and manages team funds
- Writes checks; balances account
- Provides a biannual accounting of how money was spent.
Tournament Coordinator
- Works with coach and manager on tournament planning
- Gathers information on tournaments such as dates, locations, and costs; investigates travel options and makes travel arrangements
- Communicates tournament information to parents, including costs
- Communicates with Social Coordinator(s) regarding dates/ game times so they can plan social activities
Social Coordinator
- Arranges parties and activities for players and families
- Takes care of gifts for the coach(es), cards for injured kids, etc
- May be asked to assist with coordination of fund-raising activities
- Two or more people could share this position
Net Coordinator
- Makes arrangements for volunteers to set up nets for home games and follows through before games to make sure nets will be there.
- Handles arrangements for changes in home games, such as arranging for referees and field reservations
- Coach may ask for assistance with nets for scrimmages
First Aid Kit Coordinator
- Puts together the first-aid kit to all games and tournaments or designates this task to others (First Aid Kit recommendations)
- Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid would be a bonus.
Fund-raising Coordinator
- Works with the Coach and Manager to identify fund-raising opportunities coordinates fund-raising activities
- Establishes fund-raising guidelines
