The Soccer Academy Program is designed for U8 (2nd Grade), U9 (3rd Grade) and U10 (4th Grade) players, Boys and Girls, who are interested in a more challenging, but extremely fun soccer environment focused on the improvement of ball skills and small-sided games.
Structure: Soccer Academy covers three seasons – Summer, Fall and Spring. Practices will be twice per week for 1.5 hours each session. The specific days and times will be published on our website – ImpactUnited.com
Summer Session – June 22 – August 22
Fall Session – August 31 – October 23
Spring Session – March 22 – May 22
Fall and Spring seasons will involve the same practice schedule plus Saturday games in the Impact United Advance Recreational League. Impact will also be forming a Soccer Academy Select team to participate in the UYSA X-league. Placement on the Select team will be based on demonstrated performance and advance skills as observed by Soccer Academy Staff and Impact Director of Coaching Mauricio Menjivar.
Saturday Games in Summer: Beginning Saturday July 18, and continuing through Saturday, August 22, Soccer Academy player will play Saturday mornings 8:30-10:30 am to play small-sided games within the Academy.
Girls Soccer Academy: Impact United Soccer Club is proud to announce the 2nd year of Impact Girls Soccer Academy this summer. This is in response to multiple requests from our community to develop a program that is designed for the female athlete. Soccer Academy Staff have many years of coaching expertise in the competitional soccer.
Boys Soccer Academy: Established in 2001, the Impact United Soccer Academy program keeps growing in quality and number. Toby Mesquita will continue his very successful work as Boys Soccer Academy Director.
Soccer Academy Objective:
The purpose of the Impact Soccer Academy is to improve skills and abilities to produce quality players. The goal of the Soccer Academy Staff is to:
1. Teach drills properly in order to develop a better understanding and game knowledge.
2. Develop teamwork & confidence.
3. Make training more fun by implementing fun drills and games.
4. Improve ball control and ball-handling skills.
5. Improve foot quickness and speed.
6. Improve player's soccer conditioning.
7. Implement & teach a variety of fun soccer coaching techniques to increase motivation.
8. Teach players how to warm-up properly before practices & games to avoid injuries.
Training Staff: Toby Mesquita will continue as Boys program director. Paola Marsenaro and Adil El Farissi will be the Girls Staff Trainer and Impact United’s Director of coaching Mauricio Menjivar will oversee both programs.
Cost: $325 for the Summer, Fall and Spring season. A separate charge will apply for winter indoor Futsal training season, principally to cover trainer fee and facility rental.
Uniform: Soccer Academy Players will use the New “Adidas” Recreational Program uniform, which consist of a black jersey, white jersey, black shorts and black socks. In addition, a grey “Impact SC” training t-shirt will be needed for practices. Soccer cleats and shin guards are required. For those players new to the Academy, the cost of the uniform is $35.
Refunds: No refunds
Credits: No credits will be issued from Soccer Academy Yearly Training to Soccer Academy Winter Training.
Admission: Only players signing-up for the yearly training (Summer, Fall, Spring) will be admitted. Impact Soccer Academy reserves the right to refuse admission to any player.
Placement: Players placement will be done by skill level / age. The selection of players to those levels is the responsibility of Impact Soccer Academy staff and Impact Director of Coaching.
Registration: To register, (1) fill out a standard UYSA registration form, (2) attach a check for $325 made out to Impact United SC (covers all three seasons) and (3) mail these items to:
